PLYWOODS:

COMMERCIAL PLYWOOD MR (MOISTURE RESISTANT)

Commercial plywood generally refers to the grade of plywood, most often referring to MR Grade plywood INDIAN STANDARD (IS 303) which is basically the cheapest grade plywood available in the market. So, you could find people asking for commercial Ply or commercial grade ply in the Indian Market which generally means they want cheap MR (Moisture Resistant / IS 303) Grade plywood. These plywoods are generally made from a combination of softwood & hardwood timber or just softwood timber species.  Do not confuse MR with waterproof. Moisture resistance means the plywood can withstand some amount of moisture, humidity, and dampness.

  • SIZES: 8x4, 7x4, 6x4, 6x3.
  • THICKNESS: 4MM, 6MM, 8MM, 12MM, 15MM, 18MM, 25MM.
PLYWOODS:

BWR GRADE PLYWOOD:

BWR (IS 303) Grade plywood means Boiling Water Resistant Plywood. This is also not 100% waterproof plywood. But it certainly has better water-resistant as compared to MR grade plywood. Therefore, it is used for furniture that is likely to get wet like garden tables, lawn chairs, cabinet, etc. It can resist water better than the Interior grade MR or moisture-resistant plywood. So, it is generally used for meeting those furniture requirements in the home, where the plywood may be exposed to water, such as kitchen cabinets and kitchen furniture.

BWR GRADE PLYWOOD:

SPECIFICATION

  • SIZES : 8x4, 7x4, 6x4.
  • THICKNESS : 4MM, 6MM, 9MM, 12MM, 19MM.

BWP GRADE PLYWOOD:

BWP (IS 701) Grade Plywood means Boiling Water Proof Plywood popularly known as Marine grade plywood. Plywood is quite durable as it is made of three or more thin sheets of wood called veneers that are glued together. BWP plywood is specially treated so that it could withstand a high-moisture environment. Through specific stress-relieving treatment, the plywood gets its anti-warp properties, which makes it dimensionally stable in both dry and wet conditions throughout its life. This type of plywood is used in building boats and ships.

  • SIZES: 8x4, 7x4, 6x4.
  • THICKNESS : 4MM, 6MM, 10MM, 12MM, 19MM.

PREMIUM PLYWOOD:

Premium Plus ply is considered as an exclusive product from Sylvan Ply. Imported high-density timber fabricates the product with high density and thickness, which provides better durability and dimensional stability. The product assures a 100% borer and termite free service with a lifelong warranty against any manufacturing defects. The product has several uses, which makes it one of the most satisfying commodities for the consumers.

SHUTTERING PLYWOOD:

Shuttering plywood is highly dense plywood with a smooth film coating on both sides. It is used in formwork in construction work in order to create the wooden molds where concrete will be casted.
Shuttering Plywood is a highly densified plywood with a smooth film coating on both sides of the faces and is used primarily for cement formworks during construction. By densified we mean that the shuttering plywood has at least nine different layers of core veneers which are pressed by utilizing a high- pressure machine at extremely high temperature. This pattern provides this plywood with additional strength so that it can handle the heavy load of concrete mixture and the iron roads of the ceiling.

  • USES: slabs, columns, beams, walls, pillars, highways.
  • SIZES: 8×4.
  • THICKNESS:  12MM, 19MM.

FLEXI PLYWOOD:

Flexi ply is a form of plywood but it is extremely flexible. Thin marine plywood can be forced to form curves and bends, but eventually it will split, if pressured too far. Normal plywood tends to resist bending. However, flexi ply is composed of layers of thin plies. This means that it will bend into various ‘curved’ shapes, quite easily. Small overall thickness: minimize the strain differential between the inner and outer surfaces of the curve. Flexi ply is also available in both the grades that is BWR (IS 303) AND BWP (IS 710). Thin individual plies: as above, but for each solid layer of wood. Fine-grained wood species: to enable both of the above while retaining a solid structure.
